Hope Road
Susann Maria Hempel / Germany 2025 / 12'30" / DCP / colour / German / Ani/Fic/Exp
«Hope Road» reflects the filmmaker's artistic crisis in a world shaken by crises (and wars) as the mother of a small child whose existence seems to demand something other than the production of art from her. As the artist's «old world» collapses, she escapes the dystopian scenarios of the present by adopting the perspective of the child: a perspective of humanity that is barely conceivable in the Western world and that has a secret connection with the mythologies of indigenous peoples.

Like a Fairy Tale
Kirill Khachaturov / Luxembourg/France 2025 / 16'10" / DCP / colour / Russian / Ani
After a long absence, Stasya returns to her hometown. She missed her father's funeral and has a hard time meeting her elder sister. While sorting out family issues, Stasya meets different local strangers on the way, who take her on a strange night trip.

BAN♡ITS
Omar Chowdhury / Bangladesh 2025 / 17'43" / DCP / colour / English/Bengali / Fic/Doc
On the lawless eastern border between Bangladesh and India lives a group of proud bandits, obsessed with Heath Ledger’s Joker. Re-enacting their past and celebrating their outsider status, they philosophize on their role in society and the balance between order and chaos. In «BAN♡ITS», it is not just the borders between states that are unclear – the borders between fiction and documentary blur, and ultimately, so do the borders between resistance, art, and crime.
