The Pitch: SFC | Rendez-vous Industry
For the first time this year, Kurzfilmtage is collaborating with SFC | Rendez-vous Industry. During a pitching session for projects in development, a Swiss project will be selected for participation in the 2027 edition of The Lab – Writing Hub at SFC | Rendez-vous Industry. The winner will benefit from script-mentoring sessions, a tailor-made programme made of plenary & individual sessions, a keynote on Festival circuit & distribution, access to the SFC | Rendez-vous Industry general events and opportunity to meet with filmmakers & producers present in the various programmes.
On Saturday, 7 November 2026, a three-person jury of experts will select a project during a pitching session. The winner will be announced the same evening at the Industry Awards Ceremony. A team of Kurzfilmtage and SFC | Rendez-vous Industry representatives will select the projects for the pitching session prior to the festival; participants will receive professional pitching training.
Swiss short film projects from the field fiction, documentary and animation are eligible for selection. School productions (including films by enrolled students and graduation projects of BA or MA programmes) can be submitted. The film’s length must not exceed 59 minutes.
Filmmakers and producers who are Swiss citizens or who have been living and working in Switzerland for at least four years can apply.
