Creators' RoomThe Creators’ Room focuses on the practice of filmmaking, offering workshops, master classes, and presentations that address production processes.
One workshop gives cinematographers a hands-on introduction to the world of colour science, while another workshop focuses on nonlinear storytelling and the similarities and differences between films and games.
In a moderated Master Class, Spanish artist, filmmaker, and scientist Gala Hernández López, who is this year’s Person in Focus, will talk about her work. In her films, she explores digital worlds, online communities, and the impact of new technologies on our lives. Her shorts have screened at international festivals including Festival de Cannes, Berlinale, Rotterdam Film Festival, International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, Indie-Lisboa, Curtas Vila do Conde, Sarajevo Film Festival, and Kurzfilmtage.
Finally, The Pitch presents upcoming Swiss short film projects, whereas Would You Buy This? offers insight into the commercial side of the short film industry.
