The competition programmes feel the pulse of current global filmmaking, transforming the city into an international short film hub for six days.
The best works from all competition categories will be honoured with prizes at the Award Ceremony on Sunday.

Normal Planet

Lost in the middle of a universal internet, visitors wander through a virtual museum, dressed as wacky avatars. In this psychedelic-tinged anticipation documentary, it is through the bewildered gaze of a fish who arrived there by chance while surfing the internet that the filmmakers lift the veil on the visitors' imaginations and their intimate view of art and the museum space.

Aman

While preparing for gender-affirming surgery, a trans man discovers he is pregnant, forcing a profound reckoning with identity, masculinity, and fatherhood.

I Am the Film Motherfucker, But I Am Real
Meow X2 / Egypt/Netherlands 2026 / 24'2" / colour / Arabic / Exp/Doc
A found-footage film composed entirely of appropriated online videos, the work juxtaposes the fragmented realities of post-coup Egypt with the collective cyber-psychosis of a failed revolutionary generation. Through five intersecting archives, it constructs a portrait of a society suspended between the ruins of revolutionary memory and the machinery of authoritarian myth-making, where reality and fiction collapse into a single hyperreal political spectacle.
