Kurzfilmtage’s annual Swiss Film School Day is a showcase of Switzerland’s five major undergraduate degree programmes. Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne (ECAL), the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD), the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), and the Lucerne School of Art and Design (Video/Animation) present a selection of their recent short films.
The jury of the Swiss Competition gives feedback to the students and awards the prize for the Best Swiss School Film.

Ahmad breaks into the older Maryam's house and is caught by her. Unexpectedly, Maryam invites him to dinner and prepares him a bed for the night. Meanwhile, Ahmad sees a watch lying on the table and pockets it.
During the night he searches for more items but instead finds a death notice from Maryam's son. Plagued by thoughts Ahmad cannot fall asleep. In the morning, Ahmad helps Maryam with repairs around the house. As he is about to leave, she notices that he has the put the watch back on the table.

Grandpa Paul only tells his grandson, the director, about his childhood – and about fleeing from Silesia, in today's Poland. He wishes to have a key from home, any key, as long as it’s old. Arriving at his grandfather's birthplace, the grandson encounters rooms that only seem to resist opening.

Quincy, a dreamy young girl, spends a peaceful childhood with her parents. But when her mother falls ill, Quincy has to cope with changes in her everyday life. She doesn‘t quite grasp the situation, and even after the mother‘s death, confronted with her father‘s grief, she doesn‘t stop seeing the world through her naïve and childlike eyes.
